  • OSTRO (English: sharply) Pizza Napoletana
    • This is a very good pizzeria by the river. In 2022, it was ranked as one of the top 50 pizzerias in Europe. It has beautiful décor and delicious flavours. Neapolitan pizza in Gdańsk!
  • ŁĄKA BAR (English: meadow bar )
    • It’s delicious. Interesting decor and surroundings. Good flavors at a good price.
  • CHLEB I WINO (English: bread and wine )
    • It has a beautiful view and good food. You can eat and spend some time there. The decor is very luxurious, despite the normal prices. It’s hard to get a table, so you need to make a reservation, but it’s definitely worth it!
  • ŚLIWKA W KOMPOT (English: plum in compote (Polish idiom))
    • Delicious breakfasts, beautiful views, lots of space, good prices!
  • STARY MŁYN PIEROGARNIA (English: old mill)
    • Get ready for one of the most iconic foods and food experiences in Poland. If you haven’t had pierogi, it’s traditional Polish dumplings that can be sweet or savory. They have a ton of different selections of pierogi at this spot, and the decoration is super cool!

    • This is an awesome cafe on a lovely little street. The decoration inside is so fun and vintage, with great seating and really good drinks! During the day, it’s a cafe, and at night, it turns into a cool bar!

    • Delicious cakes and a homely atmosphere.

    • 10/10, delicious drinks, very good quality, friendly service.

Best Things To Do In Gdansk

  • Old Town
    • You could spend hours wandering around the Old Town, popping into shops, grabbing coffee, walking by the water, and just exploring!
  • Gradowa Mountain
    • This is a great spot to walk to in order to get a beautiful view of the city from a bit higher up!

  • Mariacka Street
    • This is one of the most beautiful streets in the Old Town and if often mentioned in books.
  • Museum of the Second World War
    • A very cool and modern museum with lots of history.
  • St. Mary’s Church
    • This is the main church in Gdańsk, and it is absolutely incredible!
  • European Solidarity Center
    • It is worth going up to the roof, but also seeing this place and the museum. It helps you understand the mentality of a generation and Gdańsk.

  • The Żubr Bastion
    • This is a historical attraction and a part of a network of Dutch-style fortifications made in the 17th century. There are also panoramic views at the top!
  • St. Gertrude Bastion
    • Similar to above!

Best Day Trips From Gdansk

  • Malbork Castle
    • As Europe’s largest castle, this is a must-see when in Gdansk! It’s such an easy day trip from the city! For everything to know about visiting the castle, click HERE!
  • Klif Orłowski
    • Head to these cliffs with stunning views where you can hike, explore the forest trails, or relax at the beach!
  • Kashubia Protected Landscape Area
    • There’s a ton you can do in this area! From hiking, to cycling, to kayaking, to swimming, to fishing, Kashubia has it all! There are also some neat viewpoints such as Wieżyca viewing tower, Złota Góra viewpoint, and the stone circles in Węsiory.
  • Cape Helski and the Hel Peninsula
    • An old scenic area with forests, beaches, and tons of history (like old forts)!
  • Dunes in Łeba
    • Epic sand dunes you can walk or bike to and then explore! They’re migrating dunes, moving all the time, and there’s a good amount of history in the area.
